ADOPT A GREYHOUND—THEY ARE PERFECT FAMILY
Retired racers make wonderful family pets. They are sweet, calm, gentle, quiet, and
loving with children and adults. They have lived with other dogs their entire lives, so
they enjoy the company of other dogs, and most get along fine in a home with cats.
Greyhounds are one of the best natured of all breeds. They are very clean and their hair
coats are so short that they require minimal grooming, they only shed lightly, and have
no doggie odor. Greyhounds travel well, walk quietly beside you while on a leash, and
are easy to handle, and easy to love.
One of the great myths about greyhounds is that they require lots of room to run. As the
dog world’s greatest athlete, greyhounds can reach speeds in excess of 40 MPH on
the track, but will have low to moderate exercise needs in your home. Greyhounds can
live happily in apartments, condominiums, mobile homes, and even RV’s, as long as
you take them for an exercise walk every day.
Greyhounds are healthy and are free
of many of the congenital ailments of other breeds. They are gentle, friendly,
non-aggressive, highly intelligent, clean, quiet, eager to please, affectionate, good
natured, and adapt easily to life in a home. Come and meet greyhounds available for adoption
here on the weekends, and see how wonderful they really are. Please call us for information
on the dates and hours we will be showing the greyhounds.
